King of Prussia
Twenty miles northwest of downtown Philly lies the suburb King of Prussia. King of Prussia’s name comes from an inn and tavern opened in 1769 in a converted farmhouse originally built by Welsh Quakers in 1719. The community is considered to be an edge city of Philadelphia, consisting of large amounts of retail and office space situated at the convergence of four highways. The well-known namesake mall is a top retail destination consisting of over 450 stores and over 40 restaurants.
